She is extremely hard to use because of her dominating character. I relate her to Sara Ahmed’s notion of the feminist killjoy. For Ahmed, living a feminist life means that you have to create friction in everyday life, even/especially when you could let something pass as a joke or slightly weird comment, and call out the act of patriarchal power, no matter how small.
The reworked Version of Marguerite Grotesk still offers the old R as a stylistic alternate! If you would like to access the old version of Marguerite including its' Italics, please contact me.
